Terms of Service

Mature-Legacy's point-to-point courier and delivery services reserve the right to refuse any shipment that is deemed hazardous, illegal, or improperly packaged.

    Rates & Payments

  • Standard Rates: Quoted based on mileage, weight, and urgency.

  • Payment Terms: Net [30] days for corporate accounts; payment at time of booking for individual clients.

    Liability & Loss

  • Carrier Liability: Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the lesser of the actual value of the goods or $[100.00] per shipment, unless a higher value is declared and an additional "Valuation Fee" is paid at the time of booking.

  • Exclusions: We are not liable for losses caused by "Acts of God," weather delays, or mechanical failures beyond our control.

HIPAA & Privacy Compliance Statement

Target Audience: Hospitals, Clinics, Labs, and Pharmacies.

Our Commitment to Data Integrity at Mature-Legacy, we understand that we aren't just transporting packages; we are handling sensitive patient lives. We are fully committed to the Privacy and Security Rules of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

  • Trained Personnel: Every driver completes annual HIPAA awareness and Bloodborne Pathogen training to ensure the confidential handling of Protected Health Information (PHI).

  • Chain of Custody: We maintain a rigorous, digital chain of custody for every medical specimen, pharmaceutical delivery, or patient record, ensuring no unauthorized access occurs during transit.

  • Secure Transport: PHI is never left unattended. Our vehicles are equipped with secure, opaque transport containers to ensure patient privacy is maintained from pickup to final handoff.

  • Business Associate Agreements (BAA): We are prepared to sign BAAs with all covered entities to formalize our shared commitment to federal privacy standards.

Wait Time & Cancellation

We pride ourselves on our adaptability and punctuality to excellence in every aspect of our service. For this reason, a fee will be included for all "Wait Time", "Failed Pick-up", and "Cancelation" events.

  • Wait Time: Drivers are allowed to wait up to 30 minutes for pick-up before a "Failed Pick-up" charge is applied to invoice. This charge is designed to lower the standstill time/events which can result in a domino effect of late deliveries.
  • Failed Pick-Up: Failure to promptly present package for assigned driver after allotted time has passed will result in a "Failed Pick-up" fee 50% of the invoice will be applied.
  • Cancelation: Free cancelation if request is made up to an hour before scheduled pick-up/drop-off. After the one-hour deadline 25% of the invoice will be applied.
  • Redelivery: If a delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect address or recipient absence, a redelivery fee of $10 will be applied.

Remote Online Notarization (RON)

Documents Generally NOT Eligible for Online Notarization:

  • Wills and Testamentary Trusts: Under the Texas Estates Code, these typically require a "wet-ink" signature in the physical presence of a notary and witnesses to be legally binding and self-proving.

  • I-9 Employment Eligibility: Federal law requires an authorized representative to physically examine the original identification documents in person.

  • Codicils: Any amendments to an existing Will must generally be handled in person.

  • Certain Real Estate Documents: While many deeds are RON-eligible, some county clerks in Texas may still require traditional paper filings. Additionally, Texas HELOCs (Home Equity Lines of Credit) must be signed in the physical office of a lender, attorney, or title company.

Important Reminders:

  1. Signer Location: You may be located anywhere in the world during an online session, but per Texas law, your Notary Public must be physically located within the State of Texas at the time of the call.

  2. Verify Acceptance: Always check with the person or agency receiving your document (e.g., your bank, your lawyer, or the county clerk) to ensure they will accept an electronic notarization before booking.

  3. Technology: For online services, you must have a device with a working camera and microphone, a strong internet connection, and a valid government-issued photo ID for identity verification.
